Can some one help me?
by Strider Arekksu inhi, after my grandma past who was in this religion, i was an idiot, and i stayed in the religion as i thought it was the only way to see her again.
my dad stressed because he was inactive but busy supporting our family.she was faithful to the religion, becase like saul she thought she was doing the right thing.. being "black" it was hard for us to support the house we bought in the suburban area.
the dead beat jobs that i could get after high school were not acceptable to me, and i would surely lose my patience with people espeically if i hated the job and was getting paid near minimum wage.

Did leaving the WT build greater appreciation for or kill your reading of the Bible?
by lepermessiah ini am really on the fence on this issue right now and would love some opinions.. i find that i dont sit down and read the bible for long periods since becoming inactive, but on the other hand, individual scriptures mean much more to me now.. i will sit down and look up some favorite passages from time to time and feel like its the first time i really "got it" - without the jw goggles on.
i love matthew chapter 23, since i think it describes to a tee the situation in jw congregations.
i think if jesus returned today, he would blast the elders and "leaders" of the borg in a similar fashion (along with most religious leaders) .matthew 24 is actually more interesting to me now, simply because my whole life was waiting for the 1914 generation to end sometime during the reagan era!

I feel... lost...
by Strider Arekksu in(sorry for mispellings, i am emotionally frustrated right now) *sigh* i recently have slowly been, not interested in the 'orginazational' routine of the jws.
i have done personal research on the world, some secrets the government hide from the naive and all that good stuff.
i'm pretty confident something bad is going to happen like the jw doctrine states.

making friends in the troof
by Psychotic Parrot ini always found this really difficult... is it just me?
the ones i always got on best with were the worldly ones, and i've found making friends in the weld much easier than in the troof... although in the fairness to the weld, it does offer more choice.... sometimes i think that even if i belived in gawd i probably wouldnt go back to the troof... better off in the 'dying' weld....

Thinking about joining a youth group...
by Strider Arekksu inyeah... as the title states i was thinking of going into a youth group for bible studying.
since the jw organization kind of stopped that and moved it to like a 30 minute session at the school and other meeting.
they said it was for us to study personally or with our families.

Singer Prince Refuses Blood Tranfusions to Help his Hip Problem
by flipper inin the sacramento bee yesterday was an article on this.
not adept at posting links - but it's short so i'll post the sources quoted.. " rock star prince may be forced to choose between his faith and his health.
so contends britains guardian newspaper, which reports that hip problems are affecting the purple one's mobility, and his religious beliefs are preventing surgery.
